I am Rita - also called Riri from Switzerland - My dream sInce childhood is to travel the world (working on it constantly), lived and worked for 9 years in the DUBAI and met Sanjay, my future husband in Kenya, Africa.

I am Sanjay - Consultant turned hot air balloon pilot and traveler, I was born and brought up in New Delhi, India - but got my Dutch passport in 1995, making travel a whole lot easier. My grandmother always said that I have a wheel under my foot (Pair Mein Chakkar hai) and I will never sit still. Little did she know how true her words ring in my life.
We married and partied in Mauritius in 2019 with our families and a whole bunch of friends.
We moved from Dubai to Gods own country (Kerala, India) with our cat Loco just before Corona...

We love to travel - domestically and internationally
Why do we start to blog?
We want to share what we love, experience and also ...
How we drive, fly, and cruise the world, How and where we spend time and money as we try to satisfy our wanderlust. Traveling for us is exhilarating, providing a miraculous renewal of our wonderful time on this fragile blue dot.
Exploring and Experiencing new territories, whether it’s on our bucket list, in India (where we live partially on a beautiful Coffee Estate called Elamala Estates), in Europe (where we also live), or during Sanjay's hot air balloon assignments (eg in Myanmar, the Masai Mara, etc) or just visiting our friends all over the world.
Maybe you wish to travel, maybe it gives you inspiration to pack your bags and maybe it’s only a way to do some arm chair tourism so you can escape the humdrum of everyday life.
When you prepare your travel you collect travel brochures and carefully read / visit travel websites repeatedly. Daydreaming about what attractions you will see, what exotic foods to eat, what new language and music heard – it’s all part of the joy that comes with planning to break away from the norm.
In so many ways, we want to know everything that can help make our trip wonderfully memorable. What phrases in Spanish can quickly help get a bourbon on the rocks or a gin and tonic? How do you say “Which way to the bathroom?” in French.
Sometimes you read everything, plan accordingly, only to find out that nowhere was mentioned that women cannot buy the forgotten gym trousers or gym shoes (2019 - Bagan, Myanmar) or that GPS pin location in your travel book ends up in front of a house instead of the most beautiful view point (2020 - Kerala, India)
Our intention is to give you some “practical” insights, inspiration and romance and some of our funny memories which made our trips special.
